The Altimetry Virtual Lab (AVL) is a virtual space where altimetry users can access customized EarthConsole^® services based on their needs. The AVL is a modern and flexible environment intended to accompany the user from requesting virtual machines for algorithm development and testing, to ordering on-demand or bulk processing campaigns with altimetry processors, passing by the request for integration of developed applications into the processing environment.

The AVL has also been designed to unleash the potential of networking and knowledge sharing among members of the community to drive innovation, foster efficiency and advance together in the altimetry domain. This is why we made different knowledge sharing and networking tools available enabling connections and facilitating the sharing of resources among the users.

The Altimetry Virtual Lab is an initiative developed under a programme of, and funded by, the European Space Agency.
